About Pilates and Yoga

Classical Pilates

Classical Pilates is designed to give you suppleness, natural grace, and skill that will be unmistakably reflected in the way you walk, play and work. You will develop muscular power with corresponding endurance, ability to perform arduous duties, to play strenuous games, to walk, run or travel long distances without undue body fatigue or mental strain.

Pilates has proven itself for more than 80 years as an effective and safe method of exercise when taught and applied correctly. 

Pilates is more than an exercise system and isn’t just for the young and agile – there’s an artistry and philosophy that go with these practices. Pilates accommodates any type of body at any age helping you move and feel better.

Yoga

My classes are designed to create awareness using the body as an instrument.

This yoga class is developed of mindful movement and postures by connecting each movement with the breath and work to build strength and endurance as well as balance and flexibility.

Yoga practice helps to reduce levels of stress, improves breathing, relieves pain and brings greater mental health.

Although our culture tends to shrink yoga to mean only the physical, asana element I believe that yoga truly is a shamanic path, capable of leading us through transformation on all levels. Yoga reminds us what is real, and thus who we are — the light radiating from within.
